With the increasing electrical energy demands in aviation propulsion systems, increase onboard generators’ power density is inevitable. During flight, forces coming from gearbox or gyroscopic generated by flight manoeuvres like take-off and landing can act on generators' bearings, which lead to wear fatigue bearings. Utilizing radial force control concept machine relieve loads bearings that not only minimize bearing losses but also life. The objective of MAGLEV project (Measurement Analysis Generator Loads Efficiency with Validation) study, demonstrate, test a new class high-speed generators control. In this paper, design steps type generator its rig are presented measurement methodology used for explained. developed an validated measuring required parameters shaft displacement, vibrations temperature.
